Greetings to our internet viewers and friends.
In a little more than thirty days, we will celebrate once again the largest slow pitch festival in Quebec...for the 38th time!
From my earliest memories, it is hard to believe that the instigators would think that this small tournament, started 38 years ago, could ever become this huge event. Imagine the path travelled over all those years! From a simple tournament to raise money for their ball team, they succeeded to, over the years, bring to the Sherbrooke area one of the biggest slow pitch tournaments in North America. It is amazing... when you think that it started in the then-small town of Fleurimont. This 37th edition will again have some new additions, but it has become difficult to reinvent the wheel when you have covered so much ground over all those years. Our organization is putting the finishing touches on preparations and is working hard to present, once again, a week full of all sorts of activities for the entire family. Because you must have noticed, for many years now, the Pif Classic has become much more than a ball tournament, it is now a family-oriented event. Every age group will find something interesting for them, and admission to the site is still free.
A marvelous group of partners and sponsors associated with the Pif continue to work to make this event a success. The 2013 edition will not be outdone by previous editions; you will find exciting competition from both the women and men. The program has almost been finalized and you will soon be able to consult on our web site the activities planned for your pleasure. Shows, music, inflatable games and still more - without forgetting our magnificent fireworks. A superb week, extraordinary activities, high-calibre competition; in brief, an explosive and dynamic program awaits you. Our organization is proud of this upcoming edition and invites you to join us and participate-like you always have!
Inclosing, on behalf of myself and the entire organizing committee, I invite you, beginning on June 24, to join us for your sporting activity "par excellence" of the summer.
